This isn't quite a food storage recipe, but I used the Elk Backstrap meat and it was quite yummy, so I thought I'd share.
In a crockpot throw the following in:
1 1/2 - 2 lbs round steak (1 pkg elk backstrap)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup chopped onions or 1 TBSP dehy. onion
1 clove garlic or 1/4 t garlic powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp ground ginger
4 tomatoes or 1 14 oz can tomatoes
2 large green pepper (sliced)'
Cook 5-6 hours or until meat is tender
We serve this over rice!

Yummmy! I will have to try this one. I love crock pot recipes. And...the recipes don't entirely have to be from food storage items, I love any good, easy recipe. Starting this summer I do lots with fresh veggies from the garden!
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for this recipe. Thanks for it. Teresa you are becoming quite the Betty Crocker I must say. I think I need to take some lessons from all my wonderful sisters.
